Introduction

Well hello there!  In order to fulfill criteria for an assignment, and to give a little information, I will be dedicating this blog to a few posts about integrated curriculum!  For anyone who may not know, integrated curriculum is simply the idea of using aspects from different subjects together to enhance the learning potential and level of understanding.  In common core, it is required in order for students to able to break down the barriers that have typically separated different subject matters.

In future blog posts, I will be exploring different ways to integrate curriculum and link to resources that you can read in order to implement integration into your classroom or future classroom! I will be gathering these resources through individual research I will conduct, but a large amount of the information will come from presentations my classmates have done on integrated strategies.

The first info I will leave you with, is a quote from our book, Meeting Standards Through Integrated Curriculum, and a link where you can find info on the book and purchase it yourself!

"What exactly is integrated curriculum? In its simplest conception, it is about making connections." Found here.
